A Passion coming from the 19th century
1896
Mr. Gaetano Carraro began selling various types of green coffee for customers to roast in their own fireplaces at home, from his grocery store in Schio (Vicenza).
1927
His son Mario founded in 1927 Caffè Carraro and opened the company’s first site for processing and packaging coffee on an industrial scale.
1962
The company relocated to new premises in SS. Trinità, Schio (Vicenza).
1970’s
Caffè Carraro started building its brand through product innovations: it was one of the first companies to pack coffee in tins and in vacuumpacks.
1986
New company’s ownership and management organisation set the base for company’s relaunch on a national scale.
1990’s
Caffè Carraro started expanding beyond the Coffee Bar sector into the National Food Retail.
1999
Start-up of Carraro new factory in Schio industrial area, a state-of-art production facility. Industrially designed on a TOTAL QUALITY philosophy.
